Session Description Are you and your center prepared in the event of an emergency? This training will teach you ? The types of hazards that are most likely to occur in your area. ? What items you should have ready to evacuate. ? What items you should have ready to shelter-in-place. ? How to teach children about emergencies. ? How to keep children calm during an emergency. ? What to do after an emergency.
Session Objective Each participant in attendance will receive ? First Aid Kit for the playground or field trips. ? A completed, ready to use, Emergency Preparedness Plan for your program. ? Resources to help train your staff and volunteers. ? 6 hours of in-service ? A NOAA Weather Radio to the first 500 participants
