Description |
This workshop is designed for educators and administrators working in programs who have been implementing GOLD for approximately one year or less, and work serving children age Birth to Five. Participants will explore the purpose and structure of Teaching Strategies GOLD, discuss ways to support those who use GOLD, and understand how to use the various administrator, teacher, and family features of GOLD. |
Objective |
• Identify the purposes of assessment and describe the role it plays in informing instruction.
• Explain how to use the objectives for development and learning to focus observations and respond with appropriate support for individual and group needs.
• Explain how to follow the four steps of the assessment process.
• Demonstrate how to use the features of MyTeachingStrategies®, including entering documentation and completing checkpoints.
• Summarize the purposes of the key reports and explain how to use them for planning and communicating with others.
